What’s happening?
The Welsh Government is committed to sustainable development as the way in which Wales can deliver for people now, and leave a positive legacy behind for future generations. The Well-being of Future Generations (Wales) Act 2015 provides a comprehensive framework to enable Wales to take a more sustainable path.

To support this national implementation, Deputy Minister Jane Hutt is establishing a cross sector stakeholder advisory forum, which will gather stakeholder perspectives on key issues, opportunities and barriers to the implementation of the Act; share innovative practice; and provide a mechanism for discussion between Government and stakeholders on
key matters relating to the implementation of the Act.

The Co-production Network for Wales has been invited to take part in the National Advisory Forum, and we’re looking for a young person to accompany the director and represent the Network at the meetings.

Commitment:
The forum will meet twice this government term, on Thursday 18th February (10.00–11.30) and Wednesday 17th March (10.00–11.30). We’ll fit in a one-hour introduction and briefing call before the first forum meeting, and debriefing calls in between and afterwards. Total time commitment 5–6 hours between now and end of March. This is an unpaid mentoring and development opportunity.

Interested? Get in touch by 11th Feb!
If you’re interested and available for both the forum dates, please drop our director Noreen an email on noreen@copronet.wales with a brief outline (1 to 2 paragraphs max) about who you are and why you’re interested.

Please write by close of play on Thursday 11th February 2021. (We need to provide our names and confirm our attendance to the administrators of the forum on 12th February.)

We will get back to you promptly to either confirm or let you know the opportunity has been taken up. (We would like to keep in touch though as other opportunities will arise in the future!)

Please do feel free to forward this on.
